The Gnome project, who will be adopting Lampadas for their documentation
management, has agreed to host a Bugzilla database for the system. Many
thanks to the Gnome hackers and bugmasters.
If you want to help Lampadas get ready for LDP and GDP launches, please
enter bugs, vote for them, and add bugs for missing features you think
are important. File them against project "lampadas".
You can test the current CVS code at http://test.lampadas.org. Be aware
that while I am working on the system it sometimes goes down. Usually
this is brief.
Bugs targetted for 1.0 will be given highest priority. So, if there's a
feature you want added or a problem you want resolved before your
rollout, please communicate that via the bug database.
My current estimate is feature freeze mid- or late-August, beta testing
thereafter until stable. During beta we will finalize the English text,
then freeze English strings and synchronize translations. At the end of
August I hope to be ready for rollout. We'll be eating dogfood during
beta, using Lampadas to manage its own translations.
First of September, we hope to begin rollout for the LDP and GDP. I will
be personally involved in the rollout for both projects to help things go
smoothly.
We also have need of translators. We have documents in the following
languages in either GDP or LDP, but we have no Lampadas localization.
This makes the documentation unaccessible to speakers of these languages.
If you can provide translations of Lampadas text in one of these
languages, please write me.

Thanks for all your support,

Software evolves. It isn't designed. The only question is how strictly you
_control_ the evolution, and how open you are to external sources of
mutations.
