Ah, the joys of firing on a moving target[1]. :-)

For Tasklist and Deskguide, the worries are mine. I'm the author of
the current docs. If the Sun docs aren't ready in time for the community
release, my versions will be. This is the sort of thing we need package
docs coordinators to stay on top of in what promises to be a very fluid
few months. There are likely to be a lot of key components in this state 
because of the agressive release schedule.
