Hi:
can anyone confirm that they can reproduce the same problem? If so, it
is *bad* and I'll file it is a bug...
In gnome-1.2, you could choose Netscape (or any other browser) as your
help viewer, in "URL handlers" section of control-center. In Gnome
1.4 (Ximian release), when I enter "netscape '%s'" as ghelp url
handler and try to access some help page (by clicking a "Help"
button), I get netscape window with URL like
ghelp:/usr/share/gnome/help/gnome-terminal/C/index.html
and naturally, netscape gives error message saying "can't access
server ghelp" or something like this. If I edit URL to replace "ghelp"
by "file", everything is OK.
This means that basically, my only choice as help viewer is Nautilus -
and it is way too slow on my system to be used for everyday work
(takes about 15 secs to load a help page). Or the old GHB - which has
its own problems.
Can anyone confirm this bug? Or shed some light where this might be
coming from - is it a problem in gnome-core? gnome-libs?
Sasha
