template versions

hey all-
I was thinking as I frantically tried to determine whether i"d written
gataxx with the wrong template, that maybe we should have some sort of
comment that doesn't get erased that says what version of the template
we're using.  So it's easy to tell at a glace whether the docs are in
the right format?

Would that be ok/a good idea?
