The biggest problem is completely different. You just don't know what
Emacs is offering. Use "Index Topics": Start the Emacs manual (with
Emacs or Info), press `i', enter "news" and jump with `,' from one entry
to the next. The will lead you to the Gnus node which explains how to
use Gnus to read USENET news.
