Hi Dale,
Thanks for your offer. We can use as much help as we can get. To get
started, check out our web page at http://www.gnome.org/gdp/. Browse
through the beginning of our Handbook (linked from the home page) and join
us on IRC if you like. We have almost finished documenting most of
gnome-core and gnome-applets for the April GNOME release which is
approaching. I think the next thing we will work on will be documenting
the gnome-utils package. Of course you can pick anything you want to
document. Look at the DocTable (http://www.gnome.org/gdp/doctable) to
find out which applications have not been assigned to writers and pick one
which you are familiar with and that interests you.
