I've got gentoo, synced yesterday. And after your post I thaught that 
maybe gentoo has old glade in repository. And it's right - latest stable 
is 2.0.1 (and that was my version). I've unmasked glade and compiled 2.6.7.

I haven't ever thought that any app in gentoo may be as old in 
repository as glade.
