Hi!

Thanks for all answers. I agree fully with Micheal, Arvind and 
Elliot about what they think about applets, and why you shouldn't 
even think about running then as you do with normal programs.

(Maybe this question is as stupid as asking why the libc.so file 
among many others .so files hangs when I run them from the prompt 
in the glibc developer list. ;-)


I want to explain why I want to detect if the gnome panel executes 
my applet or not.
