XIM in gnomeApp?

Hi Folks,
	I was wondering if someone could tell me about XOM support in
gnomeApp. Abiword used to have this working on our gnome build but somehow
we've sccrewed something up and now XIM only works on the Gtk-only build
of Abi.

Are there any ideas on how we can debug what is going wrong?
