Difference between ORBIT and Shared Library ?
I'm trying to understand the difference between ORBIT and a shared library.
What are the advantages/disavantage of using CORBA against a shared library
and its .h file for linking?
I'm getting a bit confused on the issue.
I see for instance that all the GTK widget can be bonoboted, but it seems
that they already contains everything needed in an object model?
I understand CORBA when you use it to put a spreadsheet inside a word
document, but is there real advantage to develop a library like libpng under
CORBA/ORBIT ?
May be I'm looking some particular doc? I have been reading the doc on
www.gnome.org but I can't understand the difference.
