gdk-pixbuf question: Where is gdk_pixbuf_new_subpixbuf?

Subject: gdk-pixbuf question: Where is gdk_pixbuf_new_subpixbuf?

gdk_pixbuf_new_subpixbuf is listed in the documentation for
gdk-pixbuf in GNOME 2.0, but I cannot find it in the released
0.11 version or the version from CVS.  Is there a branched
version somewhere?
