"there should be a mac os-like tree view"

i personally like the last one - and the other two are post 1.0.

i don't necessarily like it either - the functionality is (well, will
be) in the favorites listing in the drop down and doesn't take up so
much space.

anyway -- please feel free to post UI bug reports on the file selector
as you see fit.
