software dependencies [WAS: apps using gnome-print]

It seems to me that this kind of question (what are the packages that
require package "X") is often asked. I think this kind of information
(build-time & run-time dependencies) should be compiled into the 
various packages. What i'm saying is that dependency graph computation
should not be done by humans, the machines should be there to do that
kind of fastidious work..
