You should also tag the root of the branch first - this makes it much
easier to make patches (see what has changed in the branch):
% cvs rtag balsa-0-8-anchor balsa
% cvs rtag -b -r balsa-0-8-anchor balsa-0-8 balsa

Please don't use this - it won't be recorded in the cvs history.
