I use exmh in combination with nmh. So far I have found no better
MUA, and I hope some day there will be something equivalent for GNOME.
Some features I like:
- Folders and subfolders; incoming messages are automatically put
  into folders depending on header matches or sender matches or ...
  whatever you want.
- PGP, GnuPG signing and encrypting
- Using glimpse to index over the contents of all mails in all folders.
- many little features more...
Disadvantage:
- The user interface in Tk looks somewhat dated.
- Mime support is limited.
