All applets should save using the privcfgpath or bad things will happen. The
"default" directory is where all the panel and applet config is stored.
Read APPLET_WRITING in the CVS /gnome-core/panel directory, or read the
applet tutorial on developer.gnome.org for more info.
The other files that contain [stuff] are just outdated files most likely
which were not properly cleaned by the config stuff, they are absolutely
harmless.
