"too high" as in the bottom of it matches the top of the previous panel. I
think an int isn't reset because the panel doesn't auto-hide all the way,
then it redraws with the new coordinates. So the int should be reset inside
the drawing code, not after it returned.
I know very little of GTK but that's what I think it is
