I hope he's got some performance tricks up his sleeve, 'cause using
get_pixel() for every pixel is never going to run very fast :(

Although I know its not finished yet, it doesn't free the temporary
gdk image at the moment either!  (George, I hope you fixed that in the
panel copy of the code :)

The api must also support converting a Pixmap as well as a Window.
