gnome & threads

Hi,
	I've checked through the faqs, but I haven't been able to find the
answer to the question Is gnome thread-safe?  I am of course assuming that
gtk is being used in a thread-safe manner (i.e. g_thread_init(); and
gdk_threads_enter() and gdk_threads_leave() being called.)
