	One option is for the Gnome team to make feature request to the X
consortium.  If there existed a fast Xlib call to do fades/alpha
transparancy stuff, it would open a whole new door of U.I. features.

	For the menus and tooltips, though, I'd like to explore ways of
doing it through the existing X servers...
