GNOME::Editor interface

Hi,

A couple of times I have seen a CORBA interface to editors, called (I think)
GNOME::Editor.  Who is working on this?  Is it even slightly useable (e.g.
there exists one editor that implements some of the interface)?

The reason is that it would be nice for R to do editing better, and rather
than write my own internal editor, I would prefer to let people use their
favourite editor.  The obvious way for a GNOME app to interact with editors
is to use CORBA, and if someone else is working on this I would like to get
in touch with them.
