I've cc'ed upstream on this note, which are the previous translators
of the de.po file, which I fetch from the Translation Project
(http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/HTML/), as well as the German
Language translation team.  I normally let them handle all of the po
files, since they have the translation expertise and I don't.

Marc, you're listed a the last translator for e2fsprogs, but it looks
like the .po file hasn't been touched since e2fpsrogs 1.28 in August,
2003.  Are you still interested in updating this translation, or do we
need to find someone new to work on this file?

Jens, perhaps it would be useful for you to do your your automatic
scanning on the German translation files as they come from the
Translation Projected as hosted at the University of Montreal?  That
way it would help many more people than just Debian.  Also, if you'd
be interested in helping in more depth, perhaps you could contact the
German language team at the Translation Project?
