I did that in the meantime, and I did build glom in the end,
but when I try to run it (from a jhbuild shell of course),
it tries to start up and then silently segfaults.

I remember from the long dependency builds than the compiler
issued a warning how /usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/.../libfreetype.la
"seems to be moved". I didn't do what you told me previously though,
delete all .la files from /usr/lib.

Btw do you hang out on some #channel sometimes?
