We (The GNOME-DB team) are only accepting UTF-8 encoded files for all our modules libgda, libgnomedb and mergeant. I have just reencoded all .po files as UTF-8 at cvs.gnome.org, please any new commit should be done also as UTF-8. If you have any question about UTF-8 and .po files, read the po/README.translators and feel free to mail me.
