RE: [gnome-db] Interbase Provider

Carlos

I really don't know enough about Mergeant to help you, but I can try though.

Your subject reads Interbase Provider, but you installed the client
libraries for PosgreSQL.
Which provider were you trying to use?

I don't think there is an Interbase provider in libgda available in a
release? Rodrigo has started the Interbase libgda provider in cvs recently.
Would you like to help him on it?
If so, there is a doc describing how to create a provider in libgda
at http://www.gnome-db.org/docs/libgda/libgda-providers.html

If you were trying to get the the PostgreSQL provider to work, maybe libgda
can't find its client libraries, or maybe the libgda package was not built
with PostgreSQL support.

You can try to get the libgda, libgnomedb, and mergeant tarballs and build
yourself.
During ./confgiure, you can specify where the client libraries are located.

For postgresql, it could be:
./configure --with-postgres=/usr

Anyways, those are just ideas.

Subject: [gnome-db] Interbase Provider

I installed postgresql-client package and mergeant (debian SID), but
postgres provider didn't show up.
There is no option to add a new provider, can someone help me with this?
