[gnome-db] connection from child process

Hi

I'm writing a simple application using GTKmm and Libgda

Sometimes the logon process is very slow, due traffic problems.
and the application seems to be freeze during the process

So I want to create the connection from a child process using fork()
and shared memory to prevent this effect.

Is there some example using fork() and shared memory with libgda ?
Any  idea ??
