Taken from one of the latest libgda/libgnomedb/gnome-db release
announcements made by Rodrigo Moya:
"libgda is a data access layer based on CORBA/Bonobo which allows
access to different database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL,
Oracle, Sybase, SQLite, ODBC, Interbase, etc, as well as to any
kind of data source you can imagine (LDAP, flat files, etc).
libgnomedb is a widget library containing lots of nice
data-bound widgets, which is based on libgda.
gnome-db is a GNOME frontend to libgda, which lets you access
and manage easily and visually all your databases supported in
libgda."
