This behavior happend to me with nautilus when I installed a oaf file 
which has not been correctly processed by intltools (aka 
xml-i18n-tools). You should check the file containing the resources for 
the buttons with bad text and assure that they have been correctly 
translated.

Also try in english to check that this behavior actually vanishes (it 
should ...).

But this might not be a gnome-db issue ...
