Well don't kill me for posting adverts but there are a couple of ways of
getting to SQLServer from linux, As the company I work for have one, I will
suggest that http://www.easysoft.com, no cost licences are available, and in
the interest of not turning into a salesman and being thrown off the list
there is also a free implementation under development at
http://www.freetds.org.
