I don't think you'll have any problem. You can have a look at the
doc/C/gnome-db.sgml file in gnome-db for a simple example (it does not
use too many features, but it's got the basic things). There is a good
tutorial somewhere (I don't remember where I did get it, so if you can't
find it at developer.gnome.org or www.cygnus.com, tell me and I'll send
it to you).

Also look at developer.gnome.org for the Havoc Pennington book about
GTK/GNOME programming, it may give you some ideas about licensing.
