 If the full email address (the name part of course) of the user running Evo
 has non-ascii chars, they get converted to underscores in dropdown list for
 the  From: dropdown list in the 'compose mail window'.
 I guess you forget to convert the string stored in user preferences
 in user locale's encoding to utf8 encoding - that
