[gnome-cyr] [Bug 6446] Changed - In "show email source" of View->"Message display" menu mode characters with 8th bit set are shown as '?'. (fwd)

 Вот о еще одном багрепорте:

В принципе он по своему прав (да и View->Message Display->Full Headers
правктически дублирует View->Message Display->"show email source" кроме как
raw body display) - так что предложу показывать вместо вопросов что-нить типа
0xAD вместо '?'..
Короче, не такая уж это серьезная бага.

 Best regards,
  -Vlad

In "show email source" of View->"Message display" menu mode characters with
8th bit set are shown as '?' - at least for non-latin1 characters.
Please use the message's charset (specified in headers) for interpreting
these characters (for converting them to utf8 properly).

+------- Additional Comments From danw ximian com 2001-08-06 12:03 -------
+This can't work for message digests or other cases where the
+entire message doesn't use a single character set.
+
+The current behavior is intentional: it is no more a bug that
+8bit characters don't display correctly than it is that
+quoted-printable-encoded characters don't display correctly.
+"View Source" is for getting a very raw view of the message,
+mostly for debugging sorts of purposes.
