Annwyl bawb,

Mae tîm E-Gymraeg, Canolfan Bedwyr Prifysgol Cymru, Bangor wedi rhyddhau ei wirydd sillafu Cymraeg ar gyfer OpenOffice.org 1.1.

Meddalwedd swyddfa poblogaidd cod agored, tebyg i Microsoft Office XP, yw OpenOffice.org. Mae'n gweithredu o fewn Windows, Linux, Solaris a'r Mac OS X. Os ydych chi'n gyfarwydd â defnyddio OpenOffice.org a'i wirydd sillafu Saesneg a chael llinellau coch o dan eiriau wedi'u camdeipio wrth i chi weithio, fe fyddwch chi'n siŵr o werthfawrogi'r gwirydd Cymraeg newydd.

Dear all,

The e-Welsh team of Canolfan Bedwyr University of Wales, Bangor have released its Welsh spell checker for OpenOffice 1.1.

OpenOffice.org is an open source and popular office software suite similar to Microsoft Office XP. It can be run on Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac OSX machines. If you are familiar with using OpenOffice.org and its English spell checker and getting red lines underneath misspelt words as you type, then you are sure to appreciate the new Welsh spell checker.

The checker is available as a free download from the following sites :

The spell checker will also be available on the Cysgliad CD which will be released in the summer.

Of interest to the Welsh open source community, Canolfan Bedwyr is also releasing the word list used to produce the spell checker. It is available according to the GPL licence from:
