Dear OAF users,
I just made a change in OAF which on startup dup2's /dev/null to file
descriptors 0-2 to avoid problems when programs started in the session
have their I/O redirected to a log file. It was needed to fix this
bug:
http://bugzilla.eazel.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6728
However, I have left an out. You may set the OAF_DEBUG_OUTPUT
environment variable to a non-empty value, in which case output from
oafd and components launched by oafd will continue unimpeded.
I figured the Nautilus and Evolution teams deserved extra warning.
Note that gnorba similarly kills stdin/out/err for exe servers, but
does not offer the out.
Hope this change in default behavior is OK with everyone.
Thanks,
Maciej
