nvidia or gtk+ buggy?

Hi folks,

I need your help. Look at bug 313646

This has stirred at least many Gentoo folk

That is why I believe it requires our attention. I have asked for some
information and have no idea where to go from here.
This seems to affect Gentoo people with gtk 2.8 using the nvidia
binary driver (I strongly believe the forum poster "sho" is actually
using nvidia driver as well, I just contacted him/her).

I am asking for advice especially from the experts :)
