Error while booting GDM

I am having the same exact problem as this post:

I can not get my system to boot any farther than that error pops up and then
I am locked in terminal.
Any suggestion on what to change about this? I was hoping to find reponses
to this kind of problem online, but to no avail (at least not in any
languages that I know).
Anything back will be greatly appreciated.
