gedit 2.9.5, codenamed "Paleozoic Bugs", has been released. It is the
fifth release of the 2.10 devel cycle, and it focuses on bugfixing. In
particular some minor but annoying bugs that have been there for a long
time have been fixed. See below for the details.
This version requires gtk+-2.6 and gtksourceview-1.1.91.
gedit is the official text editor for the GNOME environment.
Among others, it features full UTF-8 support, syntax highlighting and a
powerful plugin system.
