gedit 2.8.3

gedit 2.8.3, the third maintainance release from the 2.8 stable branch,
has been released. This release features some bugfixes backported from
the developement version.

gedit is the official text editor for the GNOME environment.
Among others, it features full UTF-8 support, syntax highlighting and a
powerful plugin system.
