ANNOUNCE: gcalctool v5.5.9

Gcalctool is the default GNOME desktop calculator.

It has Basic, Financial and Scientific modes. Internally it uses multiple
precision arithmetic to produce results to a high degree of accuracy.

This release is for the first GNOME 2.9 call for tarballs. It's believed
to be stable but we need as many people testing the new arithmetic operator 
precedence support as possible to verify that.

Note that gcalctool now requires the Gtk+ libraries that comes with 
GNOME 2.6 or later in order to build.


Changes since the last gcalctool version in the v5.5.X series: (5.5.5).

* Fixed bug #148639. Thousands separator wasn't displaying correctly in 
  arithmetic operator precedence mode.

* Slight adjustment to bug #152301. The tooltip message had been tweaked to
  "Show the About Gcalctool dialog".

* Fixed bug #152301. Adjusted the tooltip message for Help->About... from
  "Show about help" to "Show the about dialog", to make it more understandable.

* Fixed bug #153726. Gcalctool will now build correctly when using the
  -fno-common option for gcc (3.3.4).
