gnome-common 2.4.0
---------------------
The gnome-common module is required for building a number of GNOME
platform and desktop packages from their pristine CVS sources.
It provides a common autogen.sh script, some useful macros used by
autoconf in some GNOME builds (setting compiler warnings in ways we
think is useful for gcc and so), and some makefiles for building user
documentation in a consistent fashion.
This package is really for developers only (and interested parties).
You do NOT require this package if you build from source tarballs.
Previously, developers would extract gnome-common from CVS and go from
there, however there have recently been a number requests to make an
pseudo-official release of it. So, never let it be said that I am immune
to peer pressure!
