note: people that build cvs need to manually checkout and
                install gstreamer and gst-plugins.

note: ftp.gnu.org got hacked a bunch of weeks ago and thus
many files are not online anymore and require that
people sent in md5sums so they get put online again. i
first thought that these files may arrive really fast
again but unfortunately this is not the case. thus i
temporarely changed to a mirror which still has these
                files online.

note: ftp.gnome.org has some connecting issues for quite some
time now. it got fixed a few times but has the tendency
to break again. i therefore was advised by the owner of
ftp.gnome.org to switch over to the webmirror to get
the files which i have done now.
