Application
===========

Meld is a GNOME 2 visual diff and merge tool. It integrates especially well
with CVS. The diff viewer lets you edit files in place (diffs update
dynamically), and a middle column shows detailed changes and allows merges.
The margins show location of changes for easy navigation, and it also
features a tabbed interface that allows you to open many diffs at once. 

Enhancements
============

The main changes are to the directory diff mode which has been
substantially reworked. (closes bugs 647966 and 704330)

CVS and file diff modes have some small usability changes.

cvsview:

Added status, tag, rev, options and location fields.
Hide location when not in recurse mode.
Commit messages now work when containing shell metacharaters.

filediff:

Load files lazily for quicker feedback

dirdiff:

Added copy/delete/diff context menu.
Reworked how dirdiff is presented.
