Application
===========
Gnome VFS Iriver module 0.2.0
Description
===========
giriver is a Gnome VFS module to access the portable mp3 devices from
iriver (IFP-19X). It is a gnome-vfs module that relies on
libiriver (http://michele.pupazzo.org/libiriver) and that makes browsing
the iriver (www.iriver.com) possible inside the Gnome File
Manager (Nautilus).
Please note that this is still *Alpha* software. It works pretty much ok
for
me, but there are still different issues to sort out.
In particular:
- Renaming in Nautilus still doesn't work
- Initialization and shutdown are still somewhat less than error-prone.
(a 'killall nautilus' might be needed at times)
- Plugging and unplugging is still not working as expected
Bug-reporting:
If you report bugs, please send me your full backtrace (use bug-buddy to
get it) *and* the whole /tmp/iriver.log (please compress it first)
Enhancements
============
* Rewrote everything to use libiriver now
* Most operations seem to be working now
* Some issues still with plugging and module lifecycle need to be sorted
For now it is mostly usable though
Fixes
=====
* No more usb_* calls inside the module, all the usb logic went into
libiriver
* Most UTF8 issues seem to be sorted out now
* Delete works properly now
