Armada Backlight Controller 1.0

Description
===========

The Armada Backlight Controller is a program for controlling the brightness
of the LCD backlight on Compaq Armada laptops running Linux. It has been
tested on an Armada M700. It is based on a program by George Acher, which
was written for the M300 and has been used on the E500. This package should
also work on those machines, although that has not been tested by Nat
Pryce, who put this modified package together. 

Enhancements
============

- Initial release of Panel applet.
- Added option to the command-line application to query the current
brightness level.
- Refactored original command-line application.

Fixes
=====

- Fixed a segfault in the original command-line application when unable to
acquire I/O permissions; exits with error message instead.
