GNOME Foundation Once Again Accepting New Members

Have you wanted to join the GNOME Foundation? Been stymied by our
long-ago imposed membership freeze? Read on....

After a several-month-too-long freeze on membership, the GNOME
Foundation's Membership & Elections Committee is proud to announce
that we are once again accepting applications for membership. If you
have contributed a non-trivial improvement to the GNOME Project
(whether code, documentation, translation, or any other non-trivial
improvement), you can apply for membership by completing the
application form available at:

<URL: http://foundation.gnome.org/membership-form.html>

(The application form has actually been active for several weeks; if
you submitted an application using the form during that time, you do
not need to do so again.)

Further details on the requirements for membership can be found at:

<URL: http://foundation.gnome.org/membership-policy.html>

Although we have not currently set dates for the election, we
anticipate running another election for the Board of Directors in
November; to be certain to be eligible to participate in the the
election, candidates should apply for membership as soon as possible.
