Hi,

 Orca is much better in my opinion mainly because it is scriptable, 
allowing scripts to be writen to control how orca speaks and acts in 
different environments. Gnopernicus does not do this. From my experience, 
orca works somewhat ok with firefox, and works with gaim better do to a 
special script writen to read incoming messages which some people have 
problems with though others may not. Orca is all about customization, 
gnopernicus is more or less wysiwyg. Gnopernicus works with gaim, but in 
older versions then 1.0 you will need to export the gtk modules.

export gtk_MODULES=gail:atk-bridge

 Orca works with gaim right out of the box. gnopernicus does not work well, 
or at all in my situation with firefox. though make sure you enable the 
caret naviagation in FF when using either gnopernicus or orca. you can read
