It looks like firefox and mozilla-mail are both about to go the way of kde
on this system. I would normally hesitate in deleting gnome software but
both of these browsers on start up never get to a point where they'll show
a menu when f10 is hit. firefox puts a import wizard status bar on the
screen if you do any alt-tab, but mozilla-mail is more generous I have a
choice between mail and newsgroups and the other status bar is account
wizard. I think on a planet where Linux is the only operating system you
will see bars with the name of Status Bar because by the time you run into
one of them it's time to go to the real status bar and down a few drinks!
I did get a panel with epiphany and hitting f10 with that browser got me a
menu. It could be the netscape stuff took up about 60 gigs of disk space
with lock files given all of the other failures I've had with them to date
but I don't know that for sure. One feature for accessibility that would
really be useful would be an accessibility status bar that could play a
sound or put something like Mozilla-mail ready: on it when it is safe to
use the keyboard after an application has been started. Some of us fast
typers tend to jump the gun rather often in this kind of system.
