Error while ./configure java-access-bridge

Hello

ATM I trying to compile and install the java-access-bridge version 1.3.1.
When I try to configure it with the following command everything works find 
except of the following:
checking JDK version... Error occurred during initialization of VM
./configure: line 1584: test: too many arguments
./configure: line 1588: test: too many arguments

Have you got any idea what I have to change? Google doesn't help.

BTW: I use Debian unstable with GNOME 2.4 and Gnopernicus 0.7.1 and Java 
1.4.2.
