Latest Mozilla refuses to speak. HELP!

Hi all,

I have compiled the latest source code for Mozilla 1.5b.  The program runs fine but it refuses to speak using Gnopernicus.  I do have my GNOME_ACCESSIBILITY environment variable set, and when compiling Mozilla I explicitly used the --enable-accessibility option on the command line for the configure script.  Is there anything else I can do to make this program speak?
