printing via gnome

Hi listers. Does anyone know if something such as cups can be configured
via Gnome's control center? Or better yet...an HP-Deskjet 400 filter that
can properly render graphics and send them along to the printer via lpd? I
am currently using magicfilter, but to my knowledge it does not support
graphics rendering. Thanks!
